From Aladdincyclopedia
Part of the series's opening title.
The Aladdin TV series (sometimes called "Aladdin's Arabian Adventures") ran from 1994 to 1995 and eventually included 86 episodes. It takes place between
The Return of Jafar and
Aladdin and the King of Thieves and is about the adventures Aladdin and company had up until Aladdin and Jasmine's marriage.
There are three groups of episodes. The first are the 65 syndicated episodes (originally shown weekday afternoons as part of the Disney Afternoon block), which originally aired in the fall and winter of 1994. Second are the 13 episodes shown on CBS on Saturday mornings; these aired originally during the same time period as the syndicated episodes. Lastly, 8 additional episodes were made for CBS Saturday mornings and aired the fall/winter of 1995.
The Return of Jafar was originally written and animated with the intention of it being a four-episode introduction to the series and would have been the first four episodes in syndication. When it was turned into a direct to video release four more episodes were created to replace it (65 being the minimum number of episodes needed for syndication at that time). The four "replacement" episodes are Vocal Hero, From Hippsodeth, With Love, Destiny On Fire, and The Return of Malcho.
The Hercules/Aladdin crossover Hercules and the Arabian Night is not part of the Aladdin TV series; it is part of the Hercules TV series. However, many of the same people worked on both shows.
