We had to stop buying the cinnamon toothpaste because we were getting hungry with the smell of it Laughing

My eight-year-old brother loves Certs (really, really strong mints), so I don't think the tongue-burning issue could explain it completely.

I believe it's probably just that little kids simply prefer sweet flavors over strong. It's one of those things that's hard-wired into peoples' brains - sweet indicates a sugar content, which means a fast energy boost.

Of course, it could just be that kids tend to be more accustomed to sweet flavors, so the mint/cinnamon toothpaste is rather an unpleasant shock. My brother is not accustomed to overly-sweetened foods on a regular basis, so I think he's more adapted to less-sweet flavors.

Now, I personally hate candies and whatnot laced with cinnamon oil. It has nothing to do with the 'heat,' but rather that I find the scent somehow revolting. (Cinnamon powder, on the other hand, is a completely different story - I like it just fine.)

Wow. Now that would be some toothpaste. My mom only buys Colgate. Crying or Very sad I can't see how it would taste, though? Orange? Confused

*Shrugs* In my book, toothpaste should be minty, and no less minty than Certs mints, which is very, very minty. Oranges are for afternoon snacks, soda, and spray cleaners. And to flavor chocolate and milk and... heck, oranges are for everything but toothpaste in my book.
