I bought the Holiday doll off Ebay. The doll is beautiful. I wish they would make more Jasmine dolls like that.

Wow, a Bionic Aurora... Laughing I saw the commercial for those but I didn't think it'd have legs like that.

I would have made it so you couldn't see the legs. Either put permanent drawers over them or make the whole doll plastic - dress and all.

But it is a fun idea!!

There are pretty Jasmine dolls,Pocahontas has a few doll,Simba Toys released a few,Cinderella don't have too many good dolls,I saw on time a doll of her that Simba Toys, she had braids and the strapless, tight skirt in blue and another same doll had it pink, without the clipart on the box I whould never figured it and it's supposed to be Cinderella, worst Cinderella doll ever.
Great aritcle, thanks for posting Very Happy and about that Sleeping Beauty,I know that doll, they released it for the Platinum Edition, you put Flora on her hand to change the dress to pink,Merryweather for blue and Fauna for mix but I didn't knew about her legs, that's creppy Shocked bionic Sleeping Beauty XD,they also released same doll last year for Enchanted Tales, that you takes a wand and change her dress to gold (Like the Enchanted Tales merchandise) or blue or pink (Like in the movie),I wonder if that one has those legs,it's the same doll.

The use to have an older Cinderella doll and they just looked nicer in general than the ones that are around now. She is too light in every aspect except that dress. That's too dark Laughing

And Jasmine doesn't even look ethnic at times Confused

^I don't think I've ever seen a Cinderella doll that looked like her movie self. But her older doll versions are prettier IMO the dolls I see now are too white. It makes her look like she put way too much powder or something. But maybe it's just the dolls here (Singapore) that look like that. Question Confused

I'm almost positive the Rajah and Jasmine gift set pre-dates the series.

There were doll clothes released of some of her other outfits from the series, too, released at the same time as the gift set (her Secret of Dagger Rock pink dress, and that blue coat from Shadow of a Doubt; neither are exact but you can tell where it's from if you've seen the series), and the Arabian Lights Jasmine says it was inspired by the series once it came out, but she doesn't wear anything like that in the series. I don't think they did any outfits of hers from the series while it was on Laughing

And I'm not surprised she is. First off, that new Cinderella doll they released is kind of ugly Laughing, and the other ones look a lot closer to what they look like individually. I don't care much for Jasmine's blue eye shadow, but the face is nicer compared to what it looked like before. These are all still on the Disneydirect.com website.

Pretty much exactly the same, except for the color. I wonder who was copying who? Wink

Edit: found that article again, the interview with the doll designer:

One thing I was glad to see was that he said the Jasmine dolls were now one of the most popular. Shocked

There's a new Pocahontas doll at the Disney Store here in the United States, but they haven't made a new Esmeralda doll in a while. I think the Disney Store yeeeears ago made one.

^I agree but I feel worse for Esmeralda and Pocahontas! I haven't seen a doll of them in ages! Sad Esmeralda's dolls were especially pretty.

Yeah, that last one is a lot like her white outfit she wears in that episode.

Jasmine dolls in general have gone down hill. I have all of them released in the United States and I can tell when the Disney Princess collection hit because the amount of GLITTER on the DP dolls is insane Laughing. All the ones before it had very little glitter, if even. And she was darker Razz
