Today's edition of the USA Today newspaper ran a story about the most popular Halloween costumes of this season.

In the article, it mentioned that the #1 selling costume at The Disney Store (for the months of August and Septermber this year) is Jack...I'm sorry...CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, surpassing Jasmine costumes in sales to take that title. The Disney Store Cast Member quoted in the article made a remark to the extent of how it takes something big to pass a Princess, but that's how huge the Captain Sparrow costumes are this year.

Of course, I mention this because I thought some of the people at this board would be interested to hear that Jasmine was the #1 selling Princess costume at Disney Store for August and September. And that's with the current surge in promotion of All Things Ariel. The article mentioned that Ariel costumes had risen into the store's top 5 with the promotional campaign surrounding the Platinum DVD, and implied that they expect a further boost in Ariel sales now that said DVD is on shelves (and woe is me, STILL not safely in my campus mail room!).

But yeah...um...Jasmine's a hot seller this year! Oh, AG? I fully expect to hear your rant!

I would like to see the Disney stores carry some of the Disney costumes they sell online. Last year I bought a Maleficent costume. It's so awesome. And yet you will never see it in a Disney store.

Like I said elsewhere, I'm just completely confused Laughing. The year our DVD came out, there was barely if even a costume to be found. This isn't even our year and we were a top seller? For two months in a row? Did they make some newer and cooler Jasmine costumes this year? Did they forget they made some in 2004 that they didn't bring out and are just now shipping? Laughing

AND YET, they STILL can't market her properly as far as merchandise that isn't costumes go. W.T.F.

Yeah, well at least they remembered Jasmine was in the movie. She might get less merchandise than other princesses, but there's way more Jasmine stuff than Jafar stuff.

Nobody actually likes Sultan, that's why. I mean, sure, people like him, but I don't think anyone would actually have him as their favorite character.

What I'd really like is an Ursula costume. THAT would actually fit me. *is too big for Maleficent* But, of course, fat villains just aren't cool.

Oh, you can get an Ursula costume. They're hard to find, but I've seen them on eBay and stuff.

And maybe because Ursula is the closest thing Disney has to Cthulhu?

Well, that has something to do with it, too... *pets Purple Materia*

Do they come in plus sizes?

I don't know... but if they didn't, that would be really, really, dumb.

Are you ever going to try combining your pink and purple materia?
