Xerxes by Brawnhilda
Chapter 1: Xerxes
Author's Notes:

Xerxes, look into my mirror.
See them making fun and games,
Without a doubt or want or fear or
Thought that time shall lose their names!
Xerxes, know when they are gone,
The Seven Deserts' pride and joy,
Their ancient stories will live on..
The people dearly love that boy.
Xerxes, see what greed has conjured?
All my plans and schemes have failed.
My fury turned me to a monster,
My right arm turned to bone so frail.
Xerxes, cant you see? You must!
The tide has turned from "if" to "when"
Upon the day I turn to dust,
Just who shall tell my story then?
