Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Cassim and Iago were out enjoying an afternoon ride through the desert.

A large dune was up ahead. At his master's signal, Sabeek, Cassim's magnificent, chestnut stallion cleared the dune with room to spare!

"Wow! I didn't know a horse could jump like that!"

"Sabeek's the fastest, strongest horse in the Seven Deserts, Iago."

"Oh yeah."

Cassim laughed heartily.

Suddenly Sabeek stopped, throwing Cassim against his neck!

"Sabeek, come on, boy."

The stallion snorted uneasily and refused to budge.

BOOM!

The explosion threw the horse, man, and parrot to the ground!

There was sicknening CRUNCH followed by a cry of pain from Cassim!

Sabeek scrambled to his feet, but Cassim remained laying on the sand.

He clutched his left leg, his face twisted in pain.

Iago flew over to him.

"Cassim, are you alright?"

"Yeah. It's just my leg."

"Can you stand?"

Cassim tried to get up, cried out in pain agin, and collapsed.

"I think it's broken!"

"You're lucky that's all that's broken."

Iago screamed and tried to hide in Cassim's cape.

"Jafar!"

Jafar chuckled evilly and towered above the injured Cassim and terrified Iago.

"You cowardly parrot. Did you forget about the familiar spell? If I had really died you would have too."

"I'm an idoit."

"You will pay for your betrayal."

"Don't you *dare* touch him, Jafar! If you do I'll..."

"You'll what? Attack me."

Jafar chuckled again.

"It seems to me, my friend, you're lucky I can't kill."

Cassim glared at the evil genie.

Jafar lifted Iago away from Cassim with his magic and disappeared!

Cassim whistled, and Sabeek came over.

He scooped his master up onto his back and galloped towards Agrabah.

Aladdin and Genie half dragged and half carried Cassim to a guest room while Carpet and Jasmine went to get the royal physician.

"Aladdin, the royal physician isn't here. He left to go visit some friends in an ally kingdom."

"Great."

"I'll help him."

"I will too." Genie said.

"Wait outside."

Aladdin reluctantly waited out in the hallway.

Jasmine poked and proded Cassim's leg.

"Ouch! Jasmine, are you trying to break my leg *off*?!"

"Don't be such a baby, Cassim."

Cassim crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.

"Well you are being a big baby."

"You're not the one that got you leg crushed under your horse."

"Okay. Okay. Sorry."

"Don't worry about it. I just wanted to give you a hard time."

Jasmine glared at him.

"Ah! Geez, you don't need to whack my leg!"

"Serves you right."

"What did I do?!"

"Forget it. Just hold onto to something tightly."

Cassim did as he was told.

"Here goes."

Jasmine pressed down on Cassim's leg at the break.

CRACK!

Cassim cried out in pain again.

Genie put his leg in a cast.

"That should hold it."

"Thanks, guys. Now we've got to find Iago."

"*You* are staying here."

"Jasmine!"

"You're in no condition to go off on a rescue."

"Iago's my best friend. He'd do the same for me."

"I know he would but still."

"Wouldn't you do the same for Aladdin?"

Jasmine gave a frustrated sigh.

"Fine. You win."

Cassim smiled.

"We're just gonna keep a close eye on you."

"Fine with me."

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

They quickly found Iago and Jafar.

"Jafar!"

"Ah, Aladdin. You're just in time. I've lifted the familiar spell, and now you shall witness Iago's death."

"No!"

"Cassim?"

Cassim was on Carpet.

"Carpet, come on!"

Carpet flew forward towards Iago.

"No, no, no."

Jafar blasted Carpet back, throwing Casdsim to the floor!

"Ah!"

"Dad!"

"Cassim!"

Jafar snickered.

"Stupid fool."

He prepared to kill Iago, freezing the gang in place so they couldn't move!

"Farewell, Iago!"

Just as he fired a cry rang out, "No!"

Cassim threw himself in-between the blast and Iago!

He hit the table Iago was on and stayed there, the table holding him up.

"You fool! Get out of the way!"

"No. I'll never let you hurt him anymore that you already have!"

"You stupid, idiotic fool! I shall remove you of your soul!"

A great blast of magic shot from Jafar's hand.

Cassim screamed as the magic engulfed him!

"Cassim!"

"Once you're out of the way I shall kill that worthless parrot!"

"I'll never let you..."

The magic exploded, throwing Jafar back!

"... hurt him *ever* again!"

Cassim stood there, his leg healed!

He towered over Jafar, glaring at him.

"You're no longer a genie now, so you can kill, and *be* killed. If you want to keep your miserable, wretched, patheic excuse of a life, I suggest you get out of here before I change my mind and rip you to shreds!"

"I'll guess I'll have to kill you first then."

"Just try it."

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

The fight between Cassim and Jafar was unlike one the gang had ever seen!

It was magic against strength, speed, agility, stealthness, cunning, slyness, and skills.

Finally, Cassim threw out a comment he instantly regreted!

"Are you afraid to fight me head to head you cowardly, twisted snake?!"

"A snake am I called again?"

Cassim remembered what he had been told by Iago of what happened when Aladdin called Jafar snake.

"Perhaps you'd like to see for yourself how snakelike I can be!"

Jafar transformed into a giant cobra again!

"Uh oh."

Jafar lunged at Cassim, who leaped out of the way.

For nearly ten minutes the gang watched Cassim runing from Jafar, dodging the giant, deadly fangs!

Finally, Cassim was able to find a place to hide where Jafar wouldn't be able to see.

Jafar, having been distracted by Iago, hadn't seen where Cassim had gone.

He began slithering around the room, looking for him.

"Come out, come out, where ever you are."

Cassim silenced his heavy breathing, having learned how to do that while with the Forty Thieves.

"I know you're in here. You can't hide forever. I will find you."

Cassim knew that Jafar was right. he had to think of a way to stop him, fast!

"I don't stand a chance against him when he's like this, and I probably won't be able to trick him into turning back."

He thought quickly.

"When I find you, you'll make a tasty, little snack."

Cassim shuddered. Then he got an idea!

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

"I must be losing my mind, but... here it goes."

Cassim ran out of hiding!

"There you are!"

Cassim once again resumed the chase.

"You can't run forever."

"Well forgive me for trying."

Cassim ran right into a dead end!

He was trapped!

"Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide."

Jafar chuckled evilly and licked his lips.

The next thing Cassim knew Jafa's tongue was wrapped around his ankle!

"Whoa!"

He was thrown up in the air.

GULP!

Jafar swallowed the former King of Thieves whole!

"Dad!"

"Cassim!"

Suddenly a sick look crossed Jafar's face!

A lump the size of a man appeared in his throat, and the blade of a sword stuck out of his neck!

With one spin, the blade cut Jafar's head off!

The gang all let out a shout of joy.

Cassim was still alive!

Cassim stepped away from Jafar's body, staggering as he did.

"You see, guys? That wasn't so hard."

Then he collapsed.

After a moment he sat back up.

"This is not my day. First my leg gets broken, and now I'm covered in slimy drool!"

"Ewww!" said Genie.

"Lets get you cleaned up. Genie."

Genie zapped Cassim so he was clean and fresh.

"Thanks, Genie."

They set off for Agrabah, the sun setting.

They were all tired and lay down.

Jasmine tapped Aladdin and pointed at Cassim.

Aladdin looked over and smiled.

Iago was sleeping peacefully in one of Cassim's arm, up against his chest!

The two friends looked peacefully, happy, and content.

"Their friendship is unique in how they express it with one another."

"It sure is. Iago looks so happy, content, and sercure in Dad's arm like that."

"And Cassim looks relieved, happy, and content."

Cassim and Iago's friendship would last all the years they were together, being tested and growing stronger with each test. Their friendship would never break!
