Prologue

A young couple in their early teens sat in a hidden alley- way of agrabah
.Shahida I love you the boy suddenly remarked .the girl stood up and looked
at him hmph and why do you think that

richest merchants in the seven desserts don't you see I

Only toy with street rats like you besides I am to be wed

And my intended is almost as rich as any sultan. But you don't love him do
you? Aladdin asked his heart breaking she stopped and considered him for a moment
the caliph was snobbish and bratty even thought he was almost twenty six years
old and then thought of Aladdin’s sweet nature they had been friends for most
of their lives she remembered watching Aladdin and amal stealing for the first
time then to be firm and respect her fathers decision she said no more than
I love you but it’s the fortune that wins my love with that the girl turned
heel and left a sad fourteen-year-old Aladdin in the alley. 

Wake up sleepyhead said jasmine brushing hair out of Aladdin’s eyes. Already
he yawned stretching his arms

Why is she coming he asked changing the subject she’s
formally announcing her husband’s death to his clients. Anyway let’s get dressed
father must be waiting .A few minutes later they arrived in the grand dining
hall the woman was indeed around Aladdin and jasmine’s age she was a brunette
with long hair, hazel eyes, and a smooth complexion she was very beautiful.
Aladdin knew they had met before although he couldn't quite remember when .Ah
here they are the sultan began this is the lady shahida wife of the late tellurian
caliph who often negotiated trading between tellur and Agrabah Aladdin and jasmine
bowed formally to welcome the lady. Well shahida I trust your stay in agrabah
shall be to your satisfaction the sultan continued as Aladdin and jasmine sat
down. Oh sultan agrabah is my home after all my childhood years were spent here.
Then it hit Aladdin who this was before him it was the girl who had broken his
heart but his childhood sweetheart nonetheless. Although shahida continued
I do need a guide now for I have completely forgotten my way around. We will
be happy to accompany you said jasmine quickly. I'd like that said shahida smiling
at jasmine but actually thinking how handsome Aladdin was. 
 

Agrabah truly is a wonderful city exclaimed shahida when
the three were on the streets of the city although jasmine was listing to shahida’s
idle conversation she couldn't help notice the way Aladdin tried to stay as
far away from her as possible and made a note to ask him about his behavior
so began jasmine you say you grew up in agrabah do you remember where you lived
I'm not sure replied shahida let me try they walked around for along time until
they came to a richly constructed house here it is she said what do you think
it’s nice replied Aladdin knowing fully well her house was at least half way
across town. I always liked it she replied edging up to him um lets move on
said Aladdin quickly moving away from her grasp and far in front of the two
women. He’s acting really strange today jasmine whispered to her new friend
I do have to admit that *your brother is very handsome*shahida silently confessed
this made jasmine’s anger hit the roof Aladdin is my husband she practically
shouted at the other woman. Oh said shahida with an embarrassed disappointed
look. Although he had heard the commotion and message that had been shouted
by jasmine Aladdin walked ahead as if unconscious to the resentment now between
the two women, which as they made their way back to the palace became larger,
every minute. 

Jasmine, Aladdin called a few hours later as he walked
through the garden looking for his wife. Come sit with me she begged from a
nearby bench what’s wrong he asked concerned I hate when other women attack
you oh jasmine she didn't attack me. Why do you have to be so attractive? She
asked him coyly would you rather have married uncouthma he laughed of course
not she replied but it’s not fair you should be only mine I am he replied nuzzling
her yours forever.

Meanwhile shahida was in her room reminiscing over the
day especially jasmine shouting at her even thought it was an easy mistake to
make the way they both looked and the distance Aladdin was keeping as she went
to open her door to go to dinner she was almost knocked over by a tiger running
at a great speed with a chittering animal on his back because she thought it
looked familiar she followed them closely until they came to a huge door and
the monkey pulled out a lock pick at that she recognized him at once Abu she
said happily hugging him where’s Aladdin and Amal then it was Abu’s turn to
recognize and he jumped out of her hands of course he had never liked her but
felt a sudden distrust remembering jasmine and how much Aladdin loved her . 

Sultan where did you get that monkey asked shahida gesturing
towards Abu at dinner he’s Aladdin’s the sultan replied at this she quickly
stood up did you say Aladdin she said stunned why do you ask said jasmine suspiciously
Aladdin it’s me she said to Aladdin ignoring jasmine I know said Aladdin looking
at his hands I realized when you said you grew up in agrabah Aladdin you know
her asked jasmine she was one of my best friends he said looking jasmine in
the eye well why didn't you say something asked jasmine I don't know it just
kept slipping my mind he lied well a reunion said sultan happily. 

It’s so wonderful to see you again shahida remarked to
Aladdin a little later they had been reminiscing all night

I only whish amal could have been here but I'm glad he
got away I couldn't bear to think of him as el katib he’s o.k. Really Aladdin
reassured her meanwhile jasmine was walking closely behind them to make sure
shahida didn't attack her husband. Well I think it’s time I retired said shahida
getting up to go to bed goodnight said Aladdin goodnight lady shahida said jasmine
dryly and without the happiness Aladdin had included in his oh jasmine said
shahida we can all be casually it’s just shahida jasmine smiled hiding her annoyance
I'm sure you'll sleep well she said protectively hugging Aladdin. 

I'm so tired said Aladdin flopping down on the bed he
shared with jasmine. Oh no you're not going to get away with it that easily.
I want to know how you and little ms.perfect met. Why? Because you never told
me about her I guess she wasn't important he said moving to kiss her not this
time she said doging him well he began one day when I was about ten years
old amal and I were waiting at the city gates because the merchants coming in
always dropped money and things we could sell

Anyway that day we had collected a lot of stuff and
were waiting for the next caravan it was the richest one we'd seen all day but
what caught our eyes was a girl with a huge bag of money we decided she would
be easy to steal from but started to gather the brass pot’s that had fallen
first but the girl had seen us and quickly alerted her father although not quickly
enough for us to get out of site by this time amal had fallen in love and convinced
me follow her home with him but that night it turns out that she too had developed
a crush but on me amal was mad at me for weeks but since I was the only friend
he had he came around but took even longer to talk to her eventually when he
finally did we all became best friends amal shahida and Abu and I although Abu
never seemed to like her of course her father was unaware of it anyway in time
I grew to like her in the way she liked me but one night when we were fourteen
she told me she only toyed with me and would marry the caliph not because she
loved him but because he was rich I was heartbroken and two months later amal
disappeared and left me alone until I was seventeen when I met you and realize
that a childhood sweetheart could not compare to my one true love.oh Aladdin
jasmine cried hugging him I love you with all my heart it was silly of me to
be jealous I know you would never leave me. You were jealous? He asked surprised.
Of course, you were enjoying your time with her and talking about things that
made it impossible for me to join the conversation.oh jasmine said Aladdin pulling
her close I love with all my heart and I'm sorry but the way my friends disappeared
I love talking to them but not as much as I love being with you.

Goodnight my handsome prince whispered jasmine sleep
well princess he whispered with that the prince and princess of agrabah drifted
off to sleep forever in each others arms forever in love together forever as
it would always be.
