It was another cool, calm Arabian night in Agrabah. The city slept soundly, cuddled up with their families in their homes. The silence was everywhere, except for the sound of a few thieves and rats running around looking for their next meal. The full moon illuminated the sky, and the stars aided it with a few sparkles.
Aladdin covered up as a cool wind swept over him. He shivered a bit, before settling down again. He turned and put his arm around Jasmine who was sleeping next to him. He swept a loose hair from her face before closing his eyes and letting sleep take him back into his dreams. Jasmine stirred at the light touch on her face, but never woke from her sleep. She simply pulled her covers up around her shoulders to protect her from the cold. Rajah laid protectively at Jasmine’s feet, snoring quietly in his deep sleep.
Abu lay in some fluffy pillows in another room, hugging one pillow tightly. He snored loudly, and drool dripped from his mouth. Genie was sleeping at the other side of the room, with his lamp at his side. He lay in pillows, and his vapor tail blew slightly when the breeze hit it. Carpet was rolled up at the end of Genie’s bed, looking inconspicuous.
The Sultan slept in his monstrous bed, obviously dreaming. He laughed a bit in his sleep before turning a few times. The guards outside his door were drooping over on their posts, lulled to sleep from the cool breeze and silence. Rasoul tried to keep one eye open, but to no avail, he slipped on the floor and drifted off to a heavy sleep.
Neither Aladdin nor Jasmine noticed when a form took place outside of their balcony and made its way through the silk hangings to their bed. Rajah stirred a bit, and his eyes blinked. Before he could react the intruder sprinkled his head with a strange dust, which made the large cat fall back into his sleep. The intruder than made its way to Aladdin’s side of the bed, and sprinkled the sparkling dust onto his head. “Wha-huh,” was the only sound Aladdin made before sinking lower into his pillow, sound asleep.
Jasmine stirred once again, and looked over at the shadowy being intruding in her room. Her eyesight fixated slowly, “What’s going on here? Who are you?” She asked, trying to hide the sleepiness in her voice. The intruder, startled, quickly ran to her side of the bed. Jasmine tried to make out who it was, but soon felt herself falling to sleep again. The last thing she felt was her body being lifted from the bed, and she blacked out.

*~*~*~*~*

Jasmine opened her eyes slowly, and let her eyes focus on her surroundings. Startled, she sat up quickly. She looked around at the room she was in. It was as large as her room in the palace, but it was much darker. It had blue porcelain walls decorated with pictures of flowers and Arabian designs. The floors seemed to be made of a darker blue marble, with gold slithers through out it. There were two windows that let in little light, due to the black tapestries decorating the massive frames. A large wooden door was in the center of the round room, and it was carved with the same flowers on the walls. A wardrobe stood in the corner next to a sparkling fountain. A wooden vanity, which matched the wardrobe, was on the other side of the room with a large glass mirror. Jasmine looked down on the bed she was on. Its carvings matched that of the wardrobe and vanity. It had beautiful gold sheets, and a black blanket in which she used to cover herself up in.
Jasmine stood up, and straightened out her rose colored sleeping clothes. She walked over to the windows to see if she could find any clues to where she could possibly be. She looked out, and knew exactly where she was. The desert was spread out as far as the eye could see. Jasmine looked down at the sand, and realized it was black. “The Land of the Black Sand,” she whispered. She noticed a small fountain at the bottom of where her window was. She was too high up to jump, and there was no way she could climb down the glass walls. She realized that it was not quite light out yet. The sun poured some light through the window, but it was not at its full peak. Jasmine turned around, and jumped. Mozenrath stood behind her, staring down on her menacingly. “Good morning, princess,” he grinned wickedly.
“Mozenrath, what do you want?” Jasmine asked trying to keep the fear from her shaking voice. She looked at the tall man before her. He was as pale as ever. He wore the same black and blue garments and turban with his black curls sneaking down around his face, illuminated by the gold trim and designs throughout his outfit. She looked down at the gauntlet, which she knew to be more powerful and painful than anything else about the sorcerer.
“Now, now, is that anyway to greet an old friend?” Mozenrath sneered.
Jasmine just looked at him in disgust, “What do you want, Mozenrath?” She almost growled it this time, as the anger took over her overwhelming emotion of fear.
Mozenrath laughed tauntingly, “You always were a tomcat.”
Jasmine backed up and saw the doors again. She quickly put a plan together in her head, and grabbed the black tapestry from the window. Mozenrath pursued her with every step. He backed up as she tried to get away from him. Jasmine pulled the tapestry quickly, and threw it on top of the sorcerer. He fell and tried to free himself. Jasmine bolted towards the massive doors and pulled them open. She went to run through them when she was blasted back. She grabbed her sides in pain as she tried to pick herself up. Mozenrath made his way out from underneath the tapestry, and stood up. He walked over to the young woman backing up into the wall in his shadow, “How stupid do you really think I am? It’s not like I haven’t seen you in action before my benevolent little fighter, but tell me; where did you think you were going to go after you got out of this room?”
Jasmine just glared up at Mozenrath as she grabbed at her abdomen, “I’d rather be anywhere but here with you, you snake!” She jabbed.
“Well, seeing how you have no real choice in the matter,” Mozenrath picked her up by the arm, squeezing it hard, “you will cooperate with me.”
Jasmine winced at the pain shooting up her arm. Her eyes were met by Mozenrath’s piercing black eyes. She tried to pull away, but the tight grip on her arm only grew tighter. She bit her lip to stop herself from crying out. “Cooperate with what?” She asked to cover any other sound that might have come out of her mouth. She didn’t want Mozenrath to have any satisfaction from the pain she was going through.
“You’ll find out at breakfast. Now, get dressed,” he threw over to the bed, and waved his hand. A dress appeared before her. She looked down at it and back at Mozenrath. She began to protest when his gauntlet started to glow, and she realized there was no use.
Mozenrath hinted her surrender and disappeared with a flash. Jasmine just stared at the spot where he had stood. She got up, and picked the dress up in her hands. It was a light blue silk strapless dress with black sheers for the waste sash. She started to undress from her night dress when she realized that Mozenrath was probably watching her every move. She decided to undress and dress under the covers. When she came out, she brushed herself off and headed over to the vanity. She saw a brush and cosmetics that looked almost identical to her own. She pulled the bands out of her hair and brushed it until it shone. She then put the bands back into her hair and readjusted her huge gold earrings and necklace.
As soon as she declared herself presentable for breakfast, the door opened. At the frame were two mamlucks. She didn’t protest as they took her arms and lead her down the long and elaborate hallways. Jasmine realized that if she wanted any answers to Mozenrath’s plans, she would have to cooperate with whatever he wanted her to do.
The mamlucks brought her to a large banquet room, and another pulled out a chair at the right of the head chair. Jasmine sat down politely and waited for Mozenrath to appear. She looked down at the dark wooden table, and studied its carvings. It had the normal Arabian designs, but there were also designs of hourglasses and lamps. She shivered at the thought of hourglasses anymore due to her once horrid experience trapped in one. The rest of the room was a dark blue with black marble floors. Gold tints went throughout the room decorating the dark outlook. Jasmine’s thoughts were interrupted by Mozenrath sliding his chair out and sitting at the head of the massive table. Xerxes swam around him in mid air staring at the princess through his misshapen eyes. “Princess, trapped,” he sleuthed through his sharp teeth.
“I’m so glad you could join us this morning, Jasmine. Xerxes and I don’t have many visitors, and the mamlucks make for poor conversation,” he laughed at his own joke. The mamlucks just stared out into space, as if oblivious to any of the conversation being held at the table.
“I didn’t think I had much of a choice Mozenrath,” Jasmine returned coolly as she glared at him.
“No, I guess you didn’t, did you?” Mozenrath snapped his fingers and a mamluck dressed as a waiter brought out two trays of food. He placed one in front of the evil sorcerer and placed the other in front of the princess. Then he reappeared with two glasses and a bottle of strange liquid. He placed the glasses in front of the two people and poured the liquid gently and carefully. Jasmine watched, and noticed that it was as if he didn’t want to pour a drop anywhere but in the goblets. The mamluck sat another plate on the floor and Xerxes floated to it and started eating ravenously. Jasmine just watched and her stomach turned in disgust at the slug’s display.
Mozenrath saw Jasmine’s face, “I’m sorry, Xerxes wasn’t trained in the way of politeness.” Xerxes looked up and smiled as if he were being praised. “Not much for brains either, I’m sorry to say.” Mozenrath looked up from his pet, and back to Jasmine. He saw her eying the food, and knew she was apprehensive about taking a bite.
“Don’t worry; I know you must be hungry.” Jasmine looked back down at the food and started to cut it up. She took a bite, and realized that it was just as good as the palace’s food. Mozenrath watched in content before following her example.
“Mozenrath, what do you need from me?” Jasmine asked after swallowing a bite of the food.
“It’s not what I need from you princess, it’s what I need you for.”
Jasmine eyed him suspiciously before regaining her composure, “What does that mean?”
“You’re my key, princess; my key to taking over Agrabah.”
Jasmine nearly choked on the liquid she was pouring down her throat. It was warm and sweet. “How can I possibly do that? In order for you to take over my kingdom, we must be wed. I am already married to Aladdin.”
Mozenrath just grinned, “That’s okay I can deal with seconds.”
“How dare you?” Jasmine accused, her eyes narrowing in anger.
“Oh, I’m sorry, princess. How rude of me, do not think that I simply brought you here to insult you. What I meant is; I don’t care.”
Jasmine was about to return with anger, when she spoke coolly, “You do know Aladdin will know you took me, and he will come for me.”
Mozenrath smiled evilly, and put down his goblet, “Don’t you get it princess? That’s what I’m counting on the most.”

*~*~*~*~*

“Al, Al?” Aladdin opened his eyes groggily, and tried to let his vision clear itself.
Abu tried to wake him up, and gave up, thinking his friend was dead.
“No, look he’s coming out of it,” Genie floated in front of the man’s face. Aladdin sat up slowly and rubbed his eyes before stretching.
“What’s going on guys?” He asked looking around at Abu, Genie, and Carpet staring down at him. Carpet started floating at his feet, doing circles.
“Oh, Al you’re awake!” Genie yelled as he swooped Aladdin into his arms and took off like a rocket to the top of the room.
“Yes Genie,” Aladdin said trying to separate himself from the Genie’s crushing hug, “But I can’t breath.”
“Oops, sorry,” Genie floated back down to the bed and set Aladdin down on its sheets. Aladdin looked out towards the balcony and noticed that the sun was very high up in the sky.
“What time is it?”
“It’s nearly noon, Sleeping Beauty,” Genie exclaimed putting his hand on his shoulder.
“Noon, it can’t be. How could I have slept in so long?” Aladdin looked around and noticed Jasmine wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Rajah was still at the foot of the bed, sleeping soundly, “Hey, where’s Jasmine?”
Genie just looked at the kid, and frowned, “We don’t know Al.”
“What do you mean you don’t know?” Aladdin asked jumping up from the bed, “Where could she have gone?”
“We talked to the guards on duty last night Al and they didn’t see her go anywhere since yesterday when she returned with you from the Oasis.”
Aladdin looked around the room, “It’s odd that she got up without me noticing it.”
“I don’t know either Al, and with no one seeing her, I doubt she left this room through the doors.”
Abu ran up Aladdin’s back and rested on his shoulder patting his head trying to comfort him. “We have to find her, and I am guessing we should start in this room, start looking,” Aladdin started searching the bed for any sign of the missing princess.
Genie turned into a pack of four, blue hound dogs and started to sniff around the floor. Abu looked under the bed and around the pillows on the floor. Aladdin just rolled his eyes and kept up the search.
“I think I found something Al,” Genie said picking up a strange dust around the sleeping tiger. He changed from the pack of blood hounds to a scientist with a full fledged lab. He examined the glittering dust carefully and Aladdin stared at the weird contraption in front of him. In a blink of an eye the lab disappeared and Genie stood back in his normal form. “Al, this is Dream Sand.”
“What’s that?” Aladdin asked staring down on the particles in the Genie’s hand.
“It’s a strong mix that makes anyone it’s sprinkled on settle in for a deep sleep,” Genie said.
“Well, that makes no sense, you’re not sleeping,” Aladdin questioned. Genie sprinkled some of the dust on Abu as he came over to see what was going on. Immediately, Abu fell to the ground in a deep sleep.
“See?” Genie asked as the monkey snoozed at the foot of the bed.
“That must be why I never heard Jasmine last night!” Aladdin exclaimed, “Someone took her!”
Genie nodded, “Looks like they got Rajah pretty good there too.” Rajah just stirred lightly.
“We have to find her!” Aladdin took a bit of the dust from Genie’s hand and took it to the balcony. He put it up to the sun and examined it, “I know where she’s at.”
Genie floated over to him with Abu in his arms. He also looked at the sand a bit more closely, “Oh yes, I see.”
Carpet flew out confused, and flew around the group. “What, where is she?” Abu seemed to ask as he tried to climb up Aladdin’s shoulder without falling back to sleep.
“The Land of the Black Sand,” Aladdin said through gritted teeth, “Mozenrath!” He ran back into his massive bedroom and grabbed his clothes for the day out of his wardrobe. He chose his “fancy” street-rat vest and pants. Aladdin came out of the on-room and whistled for carpet. He jumped on the rug with Abu on his shoulders and flew off of the balcony. Genie flew right behind, straining to keep up.

*~*~*~*~*

Jasmine was lead back to her room by the two mamlucks, and pushed through the door. As soon as she passed the frame, the force field appeared again within its borders not allowing her to leave. She walked over to her bed and sat down, trying to find a little warmth in the light from the window.
Mozenrath had put a chill in her bones when he claimed he was going to marry him. Tears started to well up in her eyes, but she choked them down. She knew that Mozenrath was without a doubt watching her. She didn’t want him to know he had any power over her emotions. She sighed, and thought of Aladdin, praying that he wasn’t going to fall right into Mozenrath’s trap.

*~*~*~*~*

Mozenrath sat in his throne of pure gold. He looked around the massive room, decorated much like the rest of the rooms in his castle. He sighed, and grinned. A wave of his arm and the rip in time opened up again. He looked into it and saw Aladdin soaring over the desert straight for his kingdom. “Well, I had planned on it taking the street-rat a few more hours; this definitely puts a damper on my plans.” Xerxes swam into the throne room, and avoided his master’s look.
“Master, Aladdin coming?”
“Yes Xerxes, but he will have no avail. His Genie and carpet are pure magic, how do you expect them to pass the magic detectors my kingdom has throughout his kingdom?” Mozenrath grinned, “And we all know that the boy is nothing without his Genie.”
Xerxes let out a laugh with his master and Mozenrath went back to watching the young hero soar to his princess’s rescue, unaware of any plans made for him. “Xerxes, let’s go, we have a wedding to attend to.”

*~*~*~*~*

“We’re getting close,” Aladdin said into the silence as he noticed slithers of black sand mixing with the gold.
Aladdin sat solemnly looking out over the desert. Genie came up to him and put his hand on his shoulders, “We’ll get Jas back Al, she’s a fighter.”
Aladdin looked up at his blue friend and frowned, “That’s not what worries me, Genie, it’s what does Mozenrath want her for?”
Genie didn’t know how to answer. Aladdin looked back over the desert. They had not heard from Mozenrath in anyway since before their wedding, they thought he had given up for good. “Jasmine,” he whispered to himself.
Carpet stopped suddenly, and started falling to the ground, “Carpet!” Aladdin screamed as he fell into the sand. Genie and Abu came tumbling after. Aladdin sat up and starting spitting out sand before running over to carpet to see what caused the sudden crash.
In the middle of the rug, a sharp spear stuck up from the sand. It pinned the struggling carpet down. “No, carpet, stop moving, it will only make the hole bigger.” He tried to pull the spear out of his friend, but to no avail. The spear was to far down in the sand.
Genie walked over, “Wow, rug man, you really got it hard.” He pulled the rug up over the spear which caused the hole to grow even larger. “If I were you, I would be glad that I don’t have physical feelings.” Carpet tried to fly, but couldn’t. The hole in him wouldn’t let the air fly the right way for flight.
“What did this?” Aladdin asked examining the spear. Abu started to screech loudly, and pointed.
“I’m thinking that would be the answer,” Genie said as his jaw dropped. Aladdin turned around to see an army of mamlucks coming towards them. “I’m in trouble,” he exclaimed as the mamlucks started in closer.
Aladdin pulled his dagger from his waist sash. “There’s no way to go, but through them he said as a mamluck tumbled forward. Aladdin slashed the mamlucks head off, and the disembodied body searched for his missing body part.
Genie turned into a team of ninjas dressed in white suits. He took on about ten mamlucks at a time, chopping them into tiny pieces. More and more came, “Okay you undead freaks,” he started, “let’s get ready to rumble!”
Aladdin kept trying to take on one at a time when they ambushed him. He tried to pull away from their lifeless hands, but they were to strong. “Genie,” he yelled trying to keep Abu protected from the mamlucks swing swords. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. He looked over and saw a deep wound started to bleed. The blood was warm and tickled as it dripped down his arm. He cried out in pain, and tried to move it. He ducked and tumbled through the mamlucks arms; he ran over to carpet and ran off a mamluck trying to tear the rug in two. Carpet tried to fly again, but fell swiftly to the ground.
Genie saw his friend’s predicament and made his group even larger. Soon, all Aladdin could see were mamluck parts flying everywhere as the Carpet tried to shield the boy and monkey from any danger. Soon, it stopped, and Genie stood in the middle with a triumphant smile on his face. Aladdin smiled and helped Abu down from his bleeding shoulder. “Thanks Genie.”
“Oh, don’t thank me yet,” he changed into an older woman sitting in a rocking chair. He swept Carpet into his arms, and started sewing. Aladdin looked on until Carpet dropped from the chair and flew up in the air, spreading his tassels proudly. Genie poofed back into his normal form, “He’s better than ever, and ready to take on the world!”
Aladdin went to say something when he felt himself getting lightheaded. “Genie,” he said meekly before passing out on the warm sand.
“AL!” Genie yelled as he picked up the young man in his arms. He looked down on the deep cut in his arm, “He’s lost too much blood; we need to stop the bleeding.” Abu took off his little vest and handed it to the Genie. Genie ripped into shreds and tied it tight around Aladdin’s lower shoulder. He then placed him on carpet, “Come on Al, we need to find Jasmine.” Carpet took off slowly to the kingdom as Aladdin stirred lightly trying to wake up.

*~*~*~*~*

“Haha,” Mozenrath laughed loudly. “My mamlucks faired better than I thought Xerxes.” Xerxes slithered around the throne as Mozenrath petted him lightly on his head. “Not only did they slow the group down dramatically, but they also wounded our brave hero. Let’s not be rude by keeping this information from Jasmine.” He sat up and headed towards Jasmine’s chambers.
Jasmine lay on her arms on the soft bed. Her eyes started to droop as she fought to keep herself awake. She was just starting to doze when the doors to her chamber flew open with a huge CRACK! She jumped up immediately and rubbed her eyes. Mozenrath walked over to her, and she slid back on the bed farther. “Oh my princess, how can you be sleeping at a time like this?”
Jasmine looked at him curiously, “A time like what?” Mozenrath waved his hand and the rip in time opened up again. Jasmine gasped as she saw Carpet swaying slowly with Genie and Abu holding onto something in their arms. Aladdin was lying unconscious in a heap. His band on his arm was soaked with fresh blood and his body was bruised badly. “Mozenrath, what have you done?” She asked, not fighting the tears burning her cheeks.
“Our “guests” were going to intrude on our wedding ceremony a little too soon. The mamlucks simply sought to slow them down.” Mozenrath noticed Jasmine’s tears, and wiped them from her cheek. Jasmine jerked her head away from hastily and glared up at him through steeled over eyes. “Now, princess, do not act hastily with me.”
“I can’t believe you would do this you heartless creature!” Mozenrath backed up at her harsh voice.
“Now princess, is that any way to talk to your fiancé?” Mozenrath zapped her with energy from his gauntlet. Jasmine doubled over in pain, crying out loudly. “Now, please get dressed. Our wedding begins tonight.” With that, Mozenrath disappeared.
Jasmine tried to get up, and sat at the end of the bed until the pain lessened in her abdomen. She started to cry in her hands, when she realized there was no point. She got up and walked over to her wardrobe. “As long as I go along with Mozenrath’s plan, Aladdin will not be hurt anymore,” she whispered opening the large wooden doors.
She gazed at the only dress inside. She wanted to hate its dark beauty, but simply couldn’t. It was a simple dress that was tight around her breasts, but flowed out to the bottom. It was dark blue with beautiful light blue shear long sleeves. Gold trim was at the wrist bands and a gold angle went down along the waist line.
Jasmine slipped under the covers and dressed in the gown. When she came out, she realized how the dress slithered on her form. She shivered from the cold chill she got suddenly up her spine. “Oh, Aladdin, please come for me soon.” She walked over to the vanity and started brushing her hair. She pulled it up into a tight ponytail, and let a few strands fall around her face. She wanted to look the exact opposite from what she did at her and Aladdin’s wedding. After applying her make-up, and taking one last look at herself, she proclaimed herself done.
Mozenrath appeared at her doorway and put out his arm, “It’s time princess.” Jasmine glared up at him.
“If I do this, do you promise Aladdin will no longer be hurt?” Mozenrath grinned widely.
“If you go through with this, princess, I promise that I will not go after Aladdin.” He sneered and Jasmine allowed him to lead her down the hall, as tears streamed down her face.

*~*~*~*~*

Aladdin blinked his eyes a few times before acknowledging the Genie or Abu. “Where are we?” He looked around, and answered his own question. He was surrounded by darkness. The sand was a dark black, and the sky was slipping into darkness. No moon was present, and the stars were nowhere to be found. He turned to see a massive kingdom before them. The buildings seemed similar to those of Agrabah, but they were much darker, and seem uninhabited. Mamlucks marched the streets keeping their eyes open for any intruders. Aladdin kept his eyes on the magic detectors. He tried to stand up on Carpet but fell back down from dizziness.
“Whoa Al, hold up there buddy,” Genie said helping the boy stand.
Aladdin just held his head before looking up again, “Genie, you and Carpet stay here while-“
“No way Al is that going to happen. We nearly lost you once kid.”
“But those magic detectors-“
“-Are there for when Mozenrath wants to know if anything magical sneaks up in his kingdom. He knows we’re coming Al, he was the one who sent those undead mamlucks to try and stop us.”
Aladdin just shrugged, “But how are we going to get to the castle if the mamlucks know our exact location the whole time. I have to get to Jasmine.”
Genie pondered with his hand in his chin for awhile, turning into a statue. “I got it!” He exclaimed and made Abu jump under Aladdin’s vest. He pulled Aladdin and Abu into a tiny circle and spilled his plan out.

*~*~*~*~*

The mamlucks near the entrance of the city paced back and forth looking down at the ground. “Oh, undead mamlucks,” Genie mocked as he wiggled his but in front of them. The mamlucks looked at each other and then back at the Genie and charged towards him. The Genie vanished in a puff of smoke. The mamlucks ran into each other and tried to regain their composure. They looked towards the magic detectors and saw them light up in another part of the city, and took off running.
As soon as Aladdin saw the mamlucks leave their posts, he zoomed through the city on Carpet heading for the massive castle at the head. Carpet flew as fast as he could, but stopped suddenly nearly jerking Aladdin and Abu into a building. “Carpet, what-,” Aladdin stopped suddenly and watched as a group of mamlucks ran right past them towards the other lighted up magic detectors. Aladdin gave a small laugh, and they headed towards the castle again. He saw Genie disappear once more and appear in another quadrant of the city. “Thanks Genie,” he whispered under his breath.
In another part of the city Genie poofed out of sight, “You’re welcome kid,” he whispered just as quietly.

*~*~*~*~*

Jasmine started to sob as she was placed in front of a huge alter in a large circular room. It was almost pure dark except for a few lighted candles around the room illuminating horrendous pictures of monsters and other Arabian designs. A mamluck dressed almost like an Arabian priest stood behind the altar and startled mumbling things through his sewn up mouth. Jasmine did all she could from throwing up and collapsing. She tried to keep her composure as she stared at Mozenrath’s evil eyes. Tears burned her cheeks and neck as she sobbed harder and harder. “I’m so sorry Aladdin,” she thought as she trembled from Mozenrath’s cold hands. She looked towards the windows, and back down knowing there was no hope for a rescue now.
Aladdin zoomed out of the magic detector’s range, and the whole city went dark except for the few lights where Genie poofed in and out, distracting the mamlucks. He looked into one of the windows of the castle. He couldn’t see anything, and started towards the rest of them. He peered in everyone, but couldn’t see anything but mamlucks shuffling around, mumbling to each other. Suddenly Carpet stopped and flew to one window lower than the rest. Aladdin rubbed the glass and looked inside. He gasped at what he saw. Jasmine was at an altar with Mozenrath, and her face was tear-stained.
Jasmine looked down at her feet when she realized that it was silent. She looked up at both the mamluck’s and Mozenrath’s glare. She knew it was her turn to avail to the marriage and she choked down her tears, “I-.”
There was a large crash at one of the windows, and before Mozenrath could turn his full attention to the problem, something hit him in the mouth and he flew back into the mamluck and the altar.
Jasmine felt herself being swept up in the air and grabbed on to the arms holding her. She looked up into Aladdin’s steady gaze, “Aladdin, thank Allah you’re alright.” She hugged him tight and threw him back onto carpet.
Aladdin just laughed uneasily, “Jasmine, you know I wouldn’t let anyone just take you without a fight.” He peeled her off of him and rubbed at his sore arm.
Jasmine blushed, “I’m sorry.” Aladdin was about to lean in for a kiss when something tore into Carpet sending them all crashing towards the ground. Aladdin hit the cold marble floor with a hard thud, and rolled over to his stomach, grimacing at his sore arm. He looked over to see Abu and Carpet getting up clumsily. He turned the other way to see Jasmine lying on the floor, unmoving. He ran to her side, and turned her on her back. Jasmine’s eyes slowly opened, “Aladdin, I’m alright-,” she pushed Aladdin out of the way when she saw Mozenrath’s magic being flung at him. The magic zipped past Aladdin and all he could do was cry out when it hit Jasmine straight on in the chest.
Jasmine fell to the ground again; Aladdin picked her up, and stroked her face. Mozenrath just stared in amazement at the fallen princess. “Mozenrath, I swear, if she dies-,” Aladdin growled.
“You’ll what? Hurt me?” Mozenrath taunted not taking his eyes off of Jasmine. He wiped some blood off of his chin from where Aladdin had punched him, and it splattered to the floor. Aladdin dove into the sorcerer knocking him to the ground. Mozenrath grabbed Aladdin’s arm where he had been slashed and put pressure on it. Aladdin cried out in pain, and Mozenrath pushed him off and into the wall.
“You fool; did you really think you could beat me? Agrabah will be mine!” Mozenrath’s gauntlet began to glow and he brought it up above him. Aladdin cringed and waited for the magic to hit him when he felt himself fly up in the air. He looked around and noticed that he was sitting in a large fly contraption. He looked down as he landed, and Genie appeared,
“Perfect timing, as always.”
Mozenrath’s magic ripped into the marble walls and a large tremble went through the room. Candles that had sat in the windows fell over, and a large tapestry quickly went up in flames. Smoke started to fill the air, “Genie, get Jasmine and Carpet. We need to get out of here.”
Genie zipped towards the limp princess and picked her up. He rested her on Carpet, and she trembled slightly. Genie jumped on and was about to head up when he heard a large screech. Abu stood in the middle of a ring of fire; huge embers flew all around him. Genie swooped him up in his arms, “Woah there monkey-boy, you were almost a s’more ingredient.” Abu just sat next to Jasmine and rubbed her arm. “Let’s go Carpet, let’s get Jas out of here.” Carpet swooped out of the broken window and out into the fresh air.
Jasmine coughed violently and woke up suddenly. She looked around, with dizziness shadowing her thoughts. “Where’s Aladdin?” she asked through deep breaths. Genie didn’t even answer; he flew right back to the window, but was blown back by a huge explosion. He came back down hard on the sand. “Genie,” Jasmine cried out, running to his side. “Aladdin,” she whispered looking back up at the flames pouring out of the window.

*~*~*~*~*

Aladdin tried to look through the thick smoke for any sign of the Carpet or Jasmine, or Genie. The fire’s searing heat burned his whole body, making him sweat. His eyes watered terribly and stung horribly. He couldn’t hear anything above the crackling fire. “Genie!” He called out trying to hear any sort of response. “JASMINE!”
Suddenly something hard hit his body, sending him tumbling forward towards the fire. He got up and squinted to see Mozenrath’s form taking shape through the smoke. His face was filled with soot, and he seemed to be limping. A light blue light surrounded his gauntlet, and he smiled maliciously, “I told you Agrabah will be mine, and after I’m done with you, so will Jasmine.”
Aladdin tried to get away, but felt a deep pain in his ankle, and he collapsed from the pain. Xerxes swam over to his master who simply patted him on his head. Aladdin tried to back up swiftly, but the pain in his arm and ankle prevented his progress. Mozenrath pursued him, laughing. He lifted his gauntlet and shot his magic through it.
Aladdin managed to dodge it with his agile moves. And he tried to get far away from Mozenrath, but it didn’t matter, because now Mozenrath was just shooting the energy anywhere, hoping to hit the mangy street-rat.

Jasmine heard the large explosions inside and cringed. She tried again to revive the Genie, but to no avail. She then jumped on Carpet. Carpet instinctively flew towards the window, leaving Abu behind. “We’re coming Aladdin,” Jasmine whispered.

*~*~*~*~*

Aladdin coughed harshly into the ground, gasping for breath. Mozenrath followed the boy’s sounds and aimed at anything that he saw. Aladdin tried to crawl up into a ball to escape the sorcerer, but knew it was no use. Mozenrath came up to him, “After all of this waiting, and all your efforts, the hero still fails.” Aladdin couldn’t respond, and simply blacked out in front of the sorcerer. Mozenrath put his gauntlet up in the air, as the magic poured into it.
“Not so fast Mozenrath!” Jasmine cried from somewhere up above him. Mozenrath turned his attention, and zapped towards the carpet and princess. Carpet dodged agilely. Pain ripped up Jasmine’s side as she noticed that the magic had simply grazed her hip. She grimaced at the pain, but instructed that Carpet not slow down.
Mozenrath looked up, trying to keep his eyes from tearing up. They burned like hell, but he wouldn’t blink. He shot random shots up in the sky, but knew that he had not hit the intruders. “I don’t need you anymore princess! With Aladdin and his
Genie gone, there is nothing keeping me from just taking Agrabah!”
Jasmine smiled and kept her eyes squinted. She jumped off of Carpet who hovered above him and knocked Mozenrath to the ground. She quickly tore the gauntlet off and threw it into the flames. Mozenrath screamed as he saw his bare, skeleton arm. He ran after the gauntlet, shoving Jasmine out of the way. Carpet caught her before she hit the ground and soared towards Aladdin’s limp body. Jasmine pulled with all her might to get Aladdin on Carpet. Dodging the flying flames and embers, Carpet soared gracefully towards the window. Jasmine just held onto Aladdin’s wet body, as he shivered terribly.
Carpet flew right out of the window and picked up Genie and Abu on the way out. He soared through the city’s entrance, and stopped. Genie picked himself up and watched the castle burning in a red and orange glow. He turned to Jasmine, and looked at Aladdin.
Tears fell from Jasmine’s eyes as she brought Aladdin’s hand up to her face. She then jumped back in pain from her own injury. Sobs ripped through her body which worsened her pain, and she trembled in Genie’s arms. Abu tried to wake Aladdin up, and screeched when he realized that he couldn’t.
Jasmine through herself on Aladdin’s chest, “Aladdin, please, please; don’t give up on me now.” She cried into his already wet chest. Genie held onto Abu and turned his head back to the castle, tears rimmed his eyes. Abu’s large eyes became red and soggy, and Carpet hung his upper half and wrapped himself around Jasmine’s trembling body.
Suddenly, Jasmine felt a hand around her shoulders. She looked up quickly and down into Aladdin’s dark brown eyes fluttering open. “Aladdin,” she cried out, trying not to upset her injury any further. Aladdin sat up and took her into his embrace quickly. Jasmine grimaced at the pain in her side, and Aladdin yelped at the pain going through his whole body, but wouldn’t let her go.
Genie turned around, and smiled from ear to ear, “Al, you’re alive!” Genie grabbed the boy and kissed him on the cheek.
Aladdin just smiled, “Genie, you’re hurting me.” Genie dropped him to the ground, and Abu climbed on his neck and hugged him.
“We thought we’d lost you,” Jasmine said, tears streaming down her face. Aladdin walked over to her, and steadied her against him.
“I’d thought I’d lost you,” he took her in his arms and they kissed passionately. Genie just stood behind and watched with Carpet and Abu with big “goo-goo” eyes.
Jasmine let go of Aladdin and sat on the sand. Aladdin went down with her, “What happened to Mozenrath?”
“I don’t think we’ll be seeing much more of him for awhile.” Jasmine looked up into Aladdin’s face, which was covered with soot, and she knew she must of looked the same way.
Aladdin nodded and took Jasmine in his arms and fell onto Carpet, “Let’s just go home.”
Jasmine smiled and put her head on Aladdin’s shoulder. He stroked her back softly, and she nodded off to sleep. Aladdin laid her to his side, and fell asleep next to her. The trip back to Agrabah was as peaceful as the sun set. Genie floated behind, holding the snoring Abu. It wasn’t too long before the palace was in full view in front of them.
