When Aladdin first entered theaters I was sure I did not want to see it, well, that changed. I saw it with my best friend when I was in Gr. 7. Since then, I have loved the stories as well as the fan fiction (which by the way is top shelf, as is the art.)
I have wanted to write ever since I was in the 3rd grade, and Aladdin, and the Aladdin Trilogy has opened that door in many ways. My first attempt at writing a feasible story struck me severs years ago. I wish I could say I was finished that one; sadly, I’m still working on it. I am, however, happy to announce that it has inspired a spin-off idea, which I can’t wait to “publish”.
As you know, my name is Alice, and for those of you who don’t know me, I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada with my mom, dad and sister. My brother has moved out. I have a cat and two surviving grandparents. Believe it or not, I am now 27 and still in love with Disney cartoons, probably now more than ever.
After suffering through a few years of writers block (and you’ll see why) I have been able to find the words I have been looking for and can’t wait to share my work with you. (even if you may want to kill me for some of it…)
If you are looking to start writing, go for it. Don’t let yourself or anyone else tell you that you should be writing to be published. You are taking the first steps to creating a wonderful portfolio full of amazing ideas, characters, and thoughts, which are uniquely yours. Don’t ever be afraid to express your talent and if you run into writers block, take a step back, breathe, and think about some other story idea for a while.
