Does your family ever say Aladdin is ugly, even when you try to explain that he's the most gorgeous guy on Earth? Laughing

My mother has been doing that a lot lately. She'll either say he's flat out ugly or that he's okay looking, neither of which I agree with. And whenever I'm swooning over my pictures of Aladdin (don't act like you don't do it :p ) my grandma will pull me back to reality by saying something like " He's a cartoon! He's not real! How could you have a crush on a drawing?" I just want to slap her. Evil or Very Mad

Anyone out there feel my pain?

Nah, my mom doesn't say stuff like that about Aladdin. She has to remember I like the movie first. It's known as that "Jasmine movie" Laughing

But she'd probably flip if she knew how much I really like him. My family has nooooo idea.

She just doesn't like cartoons so being obessed with one doesn't help

My mom likes cartoons, but she's very general. She thinks all the Disney movies are good, not just Aladdin. She can't understand why I hold that movie above all the others.

Well, my own mother thought that, as far as Disney movies went, Aladdin was pretty good. Couple that with the fact that I keep my fandom fairly subversive, and the answer is a definite No.

She did, however, tell me about the Aladdin Sims Denise_316 uploaded to MTS2. Smile

Not exactly. I never had a crush on Aladdin, but I have had one on Mozenrath. My family doesn't pick on me about that. But I have been picked on for my Fonzie obsession.

lol Besides, my twin sister used to be in love with Lion-O from Thundercats.

My husband does constantly pick on me about the whole Mozenrath thing, though. But again, he likes Ifurite from El Hazard, Nova from Magic Knight Rayearth, and Sango from InuYasha. But I can understand a person whose family doesn't get the whole cartoon thing. I probably know people who would give me a hard time about Mozenrath, or other cartoon characters I'm in love with.

My family isn't sure on my sexual preference because I've never expressed any form of attraction to males in front of my mom...ever. It just feels weird to me, so I never did it. She just doesn't like animated movies and cartoons. She's very live-action oriented, although she loves the 3-D stuff. I can't think of a 3-D movie she didn't like. As a 2-D person, you can see we have lots of fights Laughing
