Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Author's Notes: I know this chapter is really short, and doesnt explain much of anything, but I swear the next chapter is gonna be better!

: Agrabah (Jasmine's balcony)

"Aladdin, are you sure you don't want to stay in the guest room tonight?" Jasmine asked.

"Oh please?! Can we?" Iago squawked.

"Maybe tomorrow. I don't want to trouble you." Aladdin said. Jasmine looked at him questionable, but didn't argue.

"Ok...well I'll see you tomorrow?" She asked kind of hurt. Aladdin gave her a cheer up hug. Jasmine embraced every moment.

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow, and I'm gonna take you some where special. Just the two of us." He said softly.

"What's the special occasion?" she joked, pulling away from his arms.

"Just to show you how much I love you."

Jasmine put her hand under her chin."Hmmmm..." she hummed as if she had to think it over."Ok, I guess."

Aladdin came close. Jasmine puckered up, and closed her eyes, expecting a kiss goodnight on the lips. But got a small smooch on the cheek. Jasmine opened her eyes and bit her lip.

"Goodnight Jas!! I'll pick you up at sun down!!" He called as he hopped on carpet and took off before she could even return her goodnight. Jasmine stood there. Hurt as ever. On the cold, lonely balcony.

'Why was he in such a hurry to leave? Why didn't he want to spend the night? And what's with the kiss on the cheek?' Jasmine thought angrily to herself. She let out a long sigh before heading in her room. She got in her pajamas, and sat in front of her mirror stand to brush her hair. ‘Maybe I’m not as beautiful as I was when we first met’ she looked at herself in the mirror. ‘No wrinkles, no chapped lips, no dull hair... I look the same! So that’s not it.’ She began to brush her hair, while thinking of different excuses for Aladdin’s strange behavior.

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Author's Notes: Here's the chapter that I think you will love! Review at the end pleaz, cuz it really encoureges me to write more! Thanks!!

:Serenity's POV

Serenity grew tired and sore from dancing two hours straight for her audience. Finally another girl came and took her place. Serenity scampered back to the room she was ordered to sleep in. Her master waited for her.

"Look at you! You look pathetic!" He scolded in his dark, hateful voice.

"I'm tired and sore. I need rest, Master." She said in a small voice. Just then he slapped her across her cheek so hard, that she fell to the ground.

"You don't tell me what you need!! I tell you what you get!!" He roared. Serenity whimpered. Her master began to circle her, but she never looked at him. Her long sleek hair covered her face.

"Maybe you forgot who I am. Must I keep reminding you Serenity?" He said in a deep, yet soft voice. So much fear and panic struck through her veins, that her eyes opened wide as ever.

"No!" She cried quietly.

"You know what? You need to be an example for all these other girls who might want to tell me what they want."

"Oh no! Please Master! Have mercy!!" Serenity pleaded, on her knees at his feet. He kicked her hard, and once again she fell and cracked her head on the ground. She cried loud, and he laughed cruelly.

"Girls! Get in here now!!" He bellowed. Seconds later, five young girls Serenity's age rushed in at his command. They only glanced at Serenity, as if they had seen such torture a million times.

"Close the door! I want to show you all what happens when you talk back to me!"

The last girl who came in closed the door quietly. Serenity brushed the hair that covered her face, got on her knees, begging him once more to forgive her. He ordered her to stand, and he locked her in shackles. He pulled out a long black whip. Two of the girls turned their heads from seeing the violence that was about to take place. Their master began beating her on her legs without worry nor care. He beat her until she could no longer stand. That's when he began to whip her upper body. Her cries were useless. Her blood trickled on the floor like a bloody rain. He stopped soon enough, but left her in shackles. He spat at her and began laughing wickedly.

"Have you learned your lesson, slave?"

Serenity only glared at him through the splits between her hair that covered her face. He turned to the ladies and said,

"Look at this as a warning to you. If you displease me in any way, you'll end up like that." He left without another word. Serenity lay there on the ground, sobbing. All the girls rushed to her side, giving her comfort. One of the girls got a wet cloth and treated Serenity's wounds.

"I guess I'm sleeping in chains tonight. Thank you for your support." Serenity thanked everyone and they went back to what they were doing. The girl who treated Serenity's wounds stayed, because they shared the room, and she continued to help her.

"We can't continue to live like this Naomi..."

"But what can we do?"

"Let's run away. Where we'll be free." Naomi looked at her as if she were crazy.

"You're joking! Master will search for us and kill us for sure! Besides, you need rest. After all that crying, you should sleep well." Serenity sighed. Even though she could barely stand, she knew in her heart that she would escape for her life.

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Author's Notes: This chapter may answer most of ur questions, even though it's short, but the next chapter is coming soon...

:The palace (Jasmine's room)

Jasmine didn't want Aladdin's strange behavior bring her down. She went to bed and thought nothing of it anymore, and dreamed of their date that was soon to come.

_________________________________________________________

:Aladdin's hovel

Iago’s whole argument about Jasmine really bothered Aladdin, and it kept him from sleeping. He decided to just take a walk around the city for awhile, just to get it off his mind. It was chilly out, but he didn’t mind. The stars provided light, and comfort. Aladdin saw a shadow and heard footsteps coming his way. He was about to turn the other way, until he heard it plead weakly,

“Please help!” Aladdin decided to help out, so he went closer to the shadow. He realized it was a girl, though he couldn’t see her face since it was soo dark out.

“Please! I am very frail.” The girl almost fell to her knees, but Aladdin caught her just in time.

“Thank you sir.” She whispered.

“Sure thing” Aladdin said, allowing her to lean against him for support. Together they walked back to Aladdin’s hovel, where they walked back to Aladdin’s hovel.
Aladdin gently placed the girl on his pallet he was sleeping on. And since it was soo late, he decided to wait until morning to talk to her. She fell fast asleep, and Aladdin made another pallet so he could get some sleep too.

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Author's Notes: This chapter is explaining Serenity's side of the story. It'll get better, just wait and see. Reviewing it would be nice!

The next morning, Aladdin woke up earlier than every one else. He took the opportunity to get a good look at the girl he helped last night; long, sleek black hair, light tan skin, and he saw many cuts and bruises on her whole body.

‘Where did all these cuts come from?’ Aladdin wondered. Despite her wounds, Aladdin thought she was very beautiful. She wore red belly dancer clothes, which revealed alot of her skin. A matching red see thru scarf was tied around her hips, and she had big golden wrist bracelets. Aladdin never seen such big bracelets like that, but when he took a closer look, he saw that they were really tight, and he could see her wrist were purple. Aladdin brushed strays of hair from her face to look at her carefully. She was young and beautiful. She looked about Jasmine’s age, with the same long dark hair. The girl stirred a bit before waking up.

“Are you... the one from last night?” she asked very softly.

“Yeah. My name is Aladdin.” He whispered.

“Serenity. And thank god you were out and about last night, or I would have been...” Her voice trailed off. She gazed out in deep thought. Aladdin broke her thoughts by asking,

“Serenity, what were you doing out so late? And what’s with all the cuts on your body?” Serenity turned bright red as she took a pillow and covered her mid section.

“Well, I would tell you... but these hand cuffs are killing my wrist.”

“Hold on. I’ll get genie, he’ll get you out of them.” Aladdin got the lamp, but didn’t rub it. Instead he told Serenity to go out side with him to summon him. When they got out side, Aladdin rubbed it, and out came genie in his big white tee shirt, and pink boxer shorts with yellow smiley faces. Serenity giggled at Genie’s appearance. Genie opened his sleepy eyes, saw her giggling, and turned into his natural floating genie form. He turned red with embarrassment.

“Genie, sorry for waking you up so early, but I need your help getting these cuffs off of Serenity.” Aladdin introduced the two to each other, and Genie used his finger and turned it into a laser pen. He used it to cut the cuffs off of her wrist. The second they were off, Serenity rubbed them.

“Thank you.” She said politely.

“Don’t mention it. And if I may ask, why do you have so many scars on your... body?” Serenity only looked at him and Aladdin. Then her eyes shot to the ground. She let out a sigh, and begun to tell her story.

“My master adopted me when I was a child, because my parents passed away. Since then, me and five other girls have no choice but to live under his power. He forces us to provide entertainment by dancing for money. Hours we dance, with almost no sleep. These scars on my body are my daily beatings I received from His whip if I displeased Him. I couldn’t take it anymore, so after my beatings, I ran away... and that’s when you found me.” She said smiling at Aladdin. He returned the smile. “I praise god you found me before He did.”

Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Author's Notes: This chapter may be my best one yet! Let me know what you think!

*Sorry it took so long to update!! Still more to come!

Aladdin gave her a ‘you’re welcome’ smile.

“Maybe we should pay this master a little visit.” Genie said, cracking his knuckles.

“No! You can’t!” Serenity cried. Aladdin gave her a curious look.

“Serenity, think of all the other girls who are still in his clutches. Don’t you want to set them free?”

“Yes, but... *sigh*” Aladdin gently put his hand on her scared back, to let her know he understood.

“It’s ok. You’re scared of him. But don’t worry. You got us. We’ll help you and your friends.” Serenity didn’t want to admit she was scared of her master, but was thankful for their effort. Serenity couldn’t help but embrace him. He embraced her back. Then they slowly released each other. But they took the time to gaze into each other’s eyes.

‘She is so beautiful. I’m glad I went out for fresh air.’ Aladdin thought. Serenity’s dark brown eyes were shinning bright from the Arabian sun.

‘He must be my guardian angel. No one has ever treated me so kindly before.’ Serenity thought. His eyes were warm, and comforting. His smile made her forget about her problems for the moment. She couldn’t help but wonder ‘Could this really be love?’

: The palace (Jasmine’s room)

Jasmine was sitting on the edge of her bed, waiting for Aladdin.

“Where the heck is he?” Jasmine said angrily. Rajah, her pet Bengal tiger, rubbed against her legs while purring. Jasmine thought a little more positive, while petting him. “Here I go again, making a big deal out of nothing. He loves me. He wouldn’t just forget and not show up. Besides, it’s only early afternoon.

: Aladdin’s hovel

Once Iago and Abu woke up, Aladdin introduced them to Serenity. They weren’t too crazy about her, but they didn’t make any rude remarks or comments towards her.

“Come on. Let’s face your master once and for all.” Aladdin said, taking Serenity’s hand. She almost stumbled to the ground, but fell straight into his muscular arms.

“I am too weak to go anywhere Aladdin. He beat me on my legs so bad that they aren’t capable of walking without support.” She secretly wished that he could carry her on his back. But instead he said,

“Carpet can carry you.”

“Oh... That’s fine.” She sighed. “But I think we should wait until its dark.”

“Good idea. We’ll leave around sun down.”

“What about your date with Jasmine?” Iago asked.

“Oh no!” Aladdin smacked his forehead. “I forgot! Oh man!”

“You... have a... girlfriend?” Serenity asked disappointed.

“Yeah... her name is Jasmine, and I kind of promised her a romantic date earlier today. But we can still help you tonight.”

“Ok” She said quietly. She was really upset.

“You should meet her; I think you guys will become great friends.” Serenity shrugged.

Aladdin and Serenity got on Carpet, and flew to the palace with Abu, Iago, and Genie close behind. On their way there, things went through Serenity’s mind;

‘I’m a fool to think some one could love me...’ She sighed sadly. Never has she felt the wind in her hair, feeling free, or been in the warm sun for so long. But she wished she could share these simple things with... Aladdin. She glanced over at him, wondering who he could possibly love more than her. Aladdin paid no attention to her. He was too focused on his apology speech.
