Chapter 1: The Adventures Begin

Author's Notes: I don't Cassim, Carina, or Aladdin. Cassim and Aladdin belong to Disney. Carina belongs to another fanfiction author.

"Daddy!" four year old Aladdin called.

"What?' asked twenty-five year old Cassim.

"I'm hungry." the little boy whined.

"You just ate!" his father responed.

"Not an apple."

"Just a minute."

"Cassim!" called twenty-five year old Carina.

"Huh?"

"Could you get me one too?"

Cassim gave a sigh that part groan.

"Okay."

Cassim went down to the marketplace and carefully stole three apples when no one was looking. He raced back to the hovel. He gave Aladdin and Carina their apples. He sat down at the "window" and looked at the palace while he ate his apple.

A few days later Cassim and Carina awoke to find Aladdin missing!

"Aladdin!" his mother called.

"Aladdin, where are you?" Cassim yelled.

"Where could he be?"

Cassim did his best to reassure his wife, though he was very worried himself.

"Help!" came a little boy's scream.

Cassim and Carina looked in the direction it had come from. They saw the figure of a man carrying a little boy, running from the gaurds.

"Daddy! Mommy! Help!"

"Cassim, it's Aladdin."

Cassim came back to reality.

"Stay here, Carina. I'm going after them."

"Be careful. Bring him home safely."

"Don't worry. I will."

Cassim raced out of the hovel and climbed onto a roof. He leaped from one roof to another, chasing the man carrying Aladdin. He closed in on the man quickly.

As the sun rose higher Cassim could see the terrified look on Aladdin's face. Aladdin looked up and saw Cassim running after the man.

"Daddy! Help!"

The man looked back over his shoulder.

"Put my son down!"

"Not a chance. He will make an excellent snack for my pets."

Cassim stopped in his tracks for a moment. Then he shook his head and ran after him again.

The few moments had given the man the lead he needed. He leaped down from the roof and disappeared into a portal! The portal closed before Cassim reached it!

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Author's Notes: I don't own Mozenrath or Destain. Destain belongs to another fanfiction author. Mozenrath belongs to Disney.

The alley was empty. There was no sign of Aladdin or the man that had grabbed him. Cassim ran back home as fast as he could.

Carina turned at the sound of running footsteps coming closer. Cassim stopped in the doorway, breathing heavily. He was alone!

"Where's Aladdin?"

Cassim, exauhsted, stumbled into the roof and flopped down onto his mat.

"The man disappeared into a portal with him. It closed before I reached it."

"He's gone?"

Cassim sat up and nodded. Carina began to cry. Cassim got up and sought to comfort his wife.

"Carina, we'll get him back. I promise."

Carina calmed down and wiped away her tears.

"Lets go see what we can find out about this man."

The two went into the marketplace. As they were walking through the streets Cassim suddenly stopped and gripped Carina's arm.

"What is it?"

Cassim led her over to a "wanted" poster.

"That's him. That's the man that kidnapped Aladdin."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive. His name is Destain. he is Lord of the Land of the Black Sand and a powerful sorcerer."

"A sorcerer?! What are we going to do?"

"We're going to find this Land of the Black Sand and get Aladdin."

A young guard, who was off duty, took them to the borders of the Land of the Black Sand. Cassim and Carina thanked him and entered the dark land.

Carina shuddered and moved closer Cassim. An errie cry shattered the silence.

Cassim drew his sword and was ready to fight. What looked like a zombie came towards them!

"What is that?!"

"I don't know."

Hundreds of them surrounded the young couple. They were about to attack when a voice called out.

"Now, now, my servants, that's no way to treat our guests."

Destain himself appeared before them. The zombies sank down into the sand.

"So sorry about that. My mamluks aren't very threatening unless there are thousands of them."

"Mamluks?"

"My undead servants. They fall apart very easily."

"Uh-huh."

"What brings to my kingdom?"

"You have our son."

"Your son?"

"Yes. That four year old boy you kidnapped from Agrabah."

"I thought you looked familiar." Destain said to Cassim.

"Where is he?"

"Come inside. If he is anywhere in my home he will be in the castle."

Cassim didn't put away his sword though.

"I assure you that you won't need your sword."

Destain snapped his fingers, and Cassim's sword disappeared!

"Follow me."

They followed the sorcerer into the castle. The mamluks at the main doors fell back as Destain came near.

"This is your home?"

"Yes it is."

Cassim was too busy looking at the paintings on the walls that he didn't watch where he was going.

CRASH!

The vase shattered. Destain turned around at looked at the pieces of the vase.

"I'm sorry about that."

"It's alright. My student will take care of that."

"Your student?"

"Mozenrath!"

"Coming, Master!"

A little boy about Aladdin's age came running into the room. His hair was ebony black, and his skin was very pale.

"Yes, Master?"

"Clean up the pieces of the vase."

"Yes, Master."

Mozenrath began to pick up the pieces of the broken vase. He reached for one a little ways away and saw Cassim's boot.

The boy stopped and looked up. He gulped quietly at the sight of Cassim. He could see that Cassim was *not* a man to be reckoned with.

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

"Come with me."

Cassim and Carina followed Destain down the hal. Suddenly the silence was shattered by a little boy's scream.

"That was Aladdin!"

"Who?"

"Our son."

"Where is he?"

Destain led them into a room with a large window.

"Look through the window and see your son."

They looked through the window and gasped at what they saw. A leopard was closing in on Aladdin, who was huddled in the far corner of the room!

Cassim pinned Destain to the wall.

"Let him go!"

"No."

Destain snapped his fingers, and Cassim disappeared!

"What have you done with him?"

"Look into the room."

Carina hurried over to the window and looked into the room.

Cassim was now fighting the leopard! The fight went on for a half hour. Finally cassim was thrown against the wall! He fell to the floor and didn't move again!

"Let them go. Please let them go. I'm begging you."

Destain made the leopard disappear. He opened the door to the foom and followed Carina inside.

Carina rushed to her husband's side. She dropped to her knees next to him, cradled his head in her lap, and stroked his hair.

Aladdin came over.

"Mommy,is Daddy going to be okay?"

"I don't know, Aladdin. He's hurt very badly."

Cassim suddenly stirred slightly.

"Carina?"

"Shhh. I'm here, Cassim. I'm here."

A few weeks later it was Aladdin's birthday. Cassim was stronger and better. He was still limping a little.

Aladdin opened the presents from his parents. It was a basket of apples. He looked up at his parents.

They smiled at him. He got up and hugged them both at the same time.

"Thanks."

"Don't eat them all at once, little mister." Carina said in a playing tone.

"Aladdin, how old are you again?"

"Five."

"Five? Wow. You're an old man." Cassim teased.

The small family all laughed goodnaturedly.
