Chapter 1: Betrayal of the Body

Cassim sat on a large rock. Diana came over to him and hugged him.

He hugged her back.

Her hand traced the right side of his beard where it ran along his jawline. He turned his head towards her.

Only then did he realize that she was wearing an outfit unlike one he had ever seen before!

The top was kind of like Jasmine's everyday outfit, only lavander. The bottom was a a dress, also lavander.

Her shoulders, arms, and middle were bare.

She suddenly began to dance!

Cassim's eyes followed her every movement!

Meanwhile, his mind was going, "Look away! Close your eyes! Turn around! Do something!"

Cassim couldn't have taken his eyes off her if he wanted to, which he didn't!

When she stopped dancing Cassim could only stare at her.

She went back over to him, gave him a peck on the lips, and began to walk away.

She looked over her shoulder and flashed him a subductive smile! Her body lanugage was saying, "Follow me."

Cassim's mind and heart yelled at him, "Don't follow her! Whatever you do, don't follow her!"

Cassim ignored the warnings and let his body take control!

He followed her to her tent.

She grabbed the collar of his cape and pulled him inside!

Her sudden action startled him, causing him to give a surprise yelp.

Before Cassim knew it he was laying beside her.

When he opened his eyes he didn't remember what had happened at first.

When he finally became ware of Diana laying beside him it all came back to him like a herd of horses.

His mind was saying to him, "Way to go, lunkhead! Now you've done it!"

Cassim's common sense finally kicked in, and he realized what he had done.

Filled with a horror unlike one he had ever known before, Cassim leaped to his feet, pulled on his clothes, and ran from the tent, leaving a confused and surprised Diana behind.

Chapter 2: You Can't Run or Hide From the Truth

Cassim ran right into Genie.

The force knocked them both over.

"Cassim, what's the hurry?"

Cassim sat up and shook his head. He looked at Genie and was still for a moment. Then he leaped to his feet, went around Genie, and ran off towards the nearby town.

In the moment he had been still Genie had seen horror and shock in his eyes, and that his face was pale and taunt.

He, Iago, and Abu went to camp and found Diana sitting on the rock.

"Diana, what's wrong with Cassim?"

"I don't know."

They didn't believe her, and she finally told them the truth.

They went after Cassim. It didn't take them long to find him.

He was sitting in an alley, crying bitterly.

They all reluctantly headed back to Agrabah.

They had all agreed not to tell the others, especially Aladdin.

Yet, the Lord had it planned for the truth to be known to all of Agrabah!

A month later Diana took Cassim aside one day.

"You know that I've always been feeling sick in the morning, right?"

"Yeah. The royal physician did some tests. What caused it?"

"Cassim,..."

Diana sighed and looked into his eyes.

"I'm pregnant."

Cassim couldn't keep from gasping aloud.

"Great. Now the others are sure to find out."

"Not to mention everyone in the palace, and mabey even everyone in Agrabah."

"That's not helping."

"Sorry. What are we going to do?"

"I don't know."

Chapter 3: Revealing the Truth

"Diana's what?!"

Cassim winced at Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Iago, and the sultan's yell.

"She's pregnant."

"How?"

Diana now spoke for the first time.

"It was all my fault."

"Huh?"

Diana told them what she had done.

Aladdin, Jasmine, the sultan, and Carpet were horrified.

"Dad, why did you go along with it?"

"I don't know. I just... couldn't control myself."

"You know that I will *never* look at you the same way again, right?"

Cassim sighed and nodded sadly.

For the first few weeks it was even worse than that! Aladdin wouldn't even *look* at Cassim!

The only time his mind was ever off Diana, the baby, and how the baby had come to be was during a meeting or while he was working in his office!

It haunted him day and night! It would haunt until he died!

Chapter 4: New Arrival

Months later Diana began to go into labor. Cassim waited in the hall outside her room with the others. Hours later they heard her yell in pain.

Several minutes later the royal physician came out.

"General."

"Yes?"

"She wants you to be in there with her."

"Alright."

Cassim followed the royal physician into Diana's room. He knetl down beside the couch and took Diana's hand in his own.

She looked at him, and he saw great pain in her face and eyes.

"Alright, Diana, you just have to get the shoulders out then everything will go quickly and easily."

"Okay."

"Ready. Push!"

Diana pushed and screamed in pain.

Cassim, unable to help himself, put his other hand over his ear.

"Come on, Diana, push!"

"I am pushing!" she screamed.

She continued to push and screamed louder.

Cassim took a step back.

Bad idea.

Something sharp went into the bottom of his foot!

"Yeouch!" he yelped as he jumped up in the air a few inches.

He was careful not to land on his feet.

He pulled the object from his foot and looked at it.

It was the tip of a dagger!

The pressure on his hand brought him back to reaility.

"That's it, Diana!"

The baby slid out.

The royal physician picked it up and turned to the table behind him. He cleared its throat so it could breathe.

Cassim's sharp hearing picked up a sound that made his blood run cold!

Without warning he suddenly tackled the royal physician!

An object flew from his hand.

When it landed Diana saw that it was dagger, only it was missing the tip!

"Cassim, what's going on?"

Cassim pulled the royal physician to his feet.

"He was going to kill the baby."

"What?!"

"There is a law in the Seven Deserts that any child of the King of Thieves to be killed after birth."

"Does that law apply to Agrabah? No, it doesn't. Now get out of my sight!"

The royal physician ran from the room.

Cassim went over to the baby.

"Cassim, what is it? A boy or a girl?"

"A girl."

Cassim wrapped the baby in a blanket and handed her to her mother.

"I think you should name her."

"How about Cari?"

"After Aladdin's mother, Carina?"

Cassim nodded.

"Alright. Cari it is. Now there's just one question I have."

"What's that?"

"How are we going to make this work?"

"Well, you are stuck with me being her father."

"Cassim!"

Cassim chuckled.

"What am I going to do with you?"

That was the question Cassim had been waiting for.

"Marry me." he said quickly.

Diana looked at him.

"What did you say? I didn't understand it."

Cassim cleared his throat and looked into Diana's dazzling blue eyes.

"Marry me, Diana."

Diana's eyes widened, and she stared at him.

"I'm not asking you to marry just because of Cari."

"What's your other reason for asking me to marry you?"

"I'm asking you to marry me because... because..."

"What?"

Cassim's throat felt dry, he couldn't swallow, and for a moment he couldn't speak.

Finally he was able to swallow and find his voice. He took a deep breath, slowly let it out, and said the words he never thought he would say again, in that way, until he got Heaven!

"I love you."

Diana was silent for a moment. Then she smiled.

"I love you too, Cassim."
