Chapter 2: Chapter 2

The sun was high in the sky. It beat down on the group below.

They had been traveling for three weeks already!

A week later they finally reached Greece.

They searched carefully for Carina.

About half an hour later Cassim spoke up.

"I think we should split up. Eden, Genie, Dandhi, you go north. Wahid, Carpet, you go south. Sadira, Abu, you go east. Iago and I will go west."

Genie gave them walkie-talkies.

"If you find her let us know."

They all set off in the direction assigned to them.

Wahid and Carpet had been searching for almost two hours! Wahid sat down on the edge of a fountain.

"It's no use, Carpet. I don't think we're going to find her."

Carpet tapped his shoulder.

"What is it?"

Carpet pointed over to the right. Wahid looked over and gasped quietly.

"Way to go, Carpet. Come on, we gotta make sure she doesn't leave."

Wahid got on Carpet, and flew towards Carina.

"Carina! Carina!"

Carina stopped and looked over.

Carpet stopped in front of her, and Wahid got off.

"How do you know my name?"

"Long story. A friend of mine knows you and wants to see you. Would you find going with us to the city square to wait for him and all my other friends?"

"Sure."

They got on Carpet and flew to the city square.

Wahid then took out his walkie-talkie and turned it on. He contacted Genie.

"Genie, this is Wahid. Can you hear me?"

"I hear ya loud and clear. What's up?"

"We found her. We're in the city square. I'll contact Sadira. You contact Iago."

"Okay."

Wahid contacted Sadira and told her where he and Carpet were and that they found Carina.

They waited for about two hours when Sadria, Abu, Genie, Eden, and Dandhi came into sight.

"Hey, guys. Where's Iago?"

"I couldn't contact him."

"What do you mean?"

"I got only static."

"Uh oh."

Wahid took out his walkie-talkie and turned it on.

"Iago, it's Wahid. Can you hear me?"

There was no answer.

"Iago, can you hear me?"

There was still no answer.

Wahid tried four more times with the same result! His nerve broke, as did Genie, Eden, Dandhi, Abu, Carpet, and Sadria's.

"Cassim, come in if you can hear me!" he shouted into the walkie-talkie.

"Cassim?"

"Oops."

"Must I be reminded of my husband not long before our anniversary."

The others nearly sighed in relief that she hadn't figured it out.

"We better go find him, come on."

They all went to look for him and Iago.

They had been going about an hour and a half when Iago came flying at them!

"Iago!"

"Boy am I glad to see you! Come quick!"

Iago stopped when he saw Carina.

"Oh, Cassim's gonna kill me!"

"Why?"

"I dropped the walkie-talkie, and it broke."

"Lets worry about that later. Where's Cassim?"

"Follow me."

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Carina saw a man laying on his stomach on the ground.

The others rushed over and gently turned him onto his back.

Sadira let a few drops of water fall onto his face. He moaned and slowly opened his eyes.

"Guys, what are you doing here? You should be looking for..."

He stopped when he saw her.

"Carina?"

Genie helped him to his feet, and he stared at her.

"Who are you? How do you know my name?"

"It's me, Cassim."

"How can you be Cassim? My husband is dead."

"Then how would I be standing here?"

"You are not my husband."

"Carina, look at me closely."

Carina studied him for a while.

"You are not my husband."

Cassim walked up to her.

"Look into my eyes."

She looked deep into his dark brown eyes.

{His eyes. They're just like Cassim's. But how?}

"Ask me questions only your husband would know."

"How old were we when we met?"

"Sixteen."

"How old were we when we were married?"

"Twenty."

"How old were we when our son was born?"

"Twenty-one."

"What was our son's name?"

"Aladdin."

"Where did you work in Agrabah before you left?"

"The Skull and Dagger."

"How old was Aladdin when you left?"

"Three months."

Carina stared at him. Her brown eyes filled with tears, and she started to cry!

She flung her arms around him.

"Oh, Cassim! All this time I thought you were dead. Why didn't you come back?"

"It's a long story. A very long, painful, sad, shameful story."

"What do you mean?"

"I'll tell you later."

They all headed back to Agrabah.

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

They got back to Agrabah and went to the palace.

Aladdin, the sultan, Rajah, and Rasoul were in the throne room.

"Guys, you're back!"

Aladdin hugged his father.

"We found her, son."

Aladdin looked at her mother.

"Mom?"

Carina looked at Cassim.

"Yes, my dear, our son is the new Prince of Agrabah."

Cassim stepped back and smiled as his wife and son embraced.

"Of course, this is the sultan."

Carina bowed.

"That's Rasoul, captian of the guard."

Rasoul scowled at Cassim.

"He and I don't get along very well."

"Why's that?"

"Never mind."

Suddenly Cassim was tackled by a flash of orange and black!

"Oof!"

It was a tiger!

"Cassim!"

The tiger growled.

"Oh no."

Then the tiger licked Cassim's face!

"Huh?"

Cassim laughed.

"Okay. Okay. I'm happy to see you too, Rajah."

With a mighty Cassim pushed the gier off him. He got up, wiped off his face, and smoothed his beard back over.

"So, how's Jasmine?"

"Come see for yourself."

They followed Aladdin to his and Jasmine's bed chambers.

He knocked on the door.

"Come in."

"Follow me, and be quiet."

They entered the room and saw Jasmine sitting on the couch.

"Jasmine."

Jasmine looked up and gasped happily.

"Cassim, you're back!"

She ran over and hugged him.

Unfortunately she knocked him over!

THUD!

"Oof!"

They heard the sound of a baby crying!

Jasmine got up and ran around to the other side of the bed, bent down, and picked something up.

She straightened and smiled at Cassim.

"Cassim, come over here please."

Cassim walked over to her.

"Meet your grandson, Ali."

Cassim's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped.

Jasmine laughed and put the baby in his arms.

"I think an introduction would be nice."

"Huh?"

Cassim motioned towards Carina with his head.

Aladdin introduced them.

Jasmine went back over and took Ali.

"Carina, come here please."

Carina hesitated. She looked at Aladdin, who smiled and nodded.

She still hesitated.

Cassim came over and took her hand. He led her over to Jasmine.

"You know, I really shouldn't have had to do that."

Jasmine put Ali in Carina's arms.

Aladdin came over.

Carina quickly became much more comfortable. She smiled a genuine smile.

Cassim, Aladdin. and Jasmine all smiled at each other.

Cassim and Aladdin high-fived.

"Yeah!"

Cassim showed Carina around the palace and menagerie.

Genie made Cassim's bed and king size bed. He made another closet appear beside Cassim's closet with clothes for Carina.

Chapter 5: Secret of the Past Revealed

Cassim and Carina went out for a ride weeks later.

Cassim led her to a mountain that was in the water.

His magniificent, chestnut stallion, Sabeek, pawed the ground and snrted.

"He senses home."

"There's nothing here, Cassim."

"Just wait."

Cassim held his right out.

"Open sesame!" he yelled mightily.

The water started to bubble! It parted as did the mountain!

They galloped inside and stopped.

Carina was breathless with shock and amazement.

"That was incredible!"

Cassim chuckled.

"Come on."

He led her into a huge room.

A large picture of him was in it. It had three cuts going down it.

"What happened to the picture?"

"My guess is Sa'luk?"

"Who?"

"He was one of the Forty Thieves."

"What?! Where are we?"

"This is the layer of the Forty Thieves."

"Are you crazy?! What are we doing hre?!"

"Relax. It's okay. There's only one thief left."

"Who would that be?"

Cassim hesitated.

"Who would that be, Cassim?"

He sighed sadly.

"Me."

"You?"

"Yes."

"Cassim, what do you mean?"

"What I mean is..."

Cassim stopped.

"Cassim?"

Carina watched his face turn pale, and his eyes fill with fear!

"Cassim what's wrong?"

"Shhh! Listen."

Carina listened closely.

"I don't hear anything."

"Just wait."

After a few moments Carina heard it! It was a soft whisper of many voices all saying the same word together!

Then it was normal talking.

"Cassim, what's going on?"

"I don't know, but I'm not sure I want to know."

Then forty men stepped out of the shadows all around them!

Cassim let out a cry of fear!

"The Forty Thieves and the old King of Thieves! But how? They're all dead!"

Carina stood right next to him.

He put his arms around her and pulled her to him.

"You foolish boy!" the old King of Thieves said.

Cassim and Carina were pulled apart and dragged off in seperate directions!

Chapter 6: Chapter 6

Cassim was thrown into a room.

The thieves put bars on it.

Cassim sat in the corner and tried to think.

How was this happening? How was this possible?

Cassim had no idea.

His first priority was to somehow escape, free Carina, and get her to safety.

Cassim tried all day to get free! He didn't get very far.

Finally, comepletely exhausted, he sank down on the floor and lay still.

He then overheard the old King of Thieves and Sa'luk talking.

"It's unbelieveable. She's with child, at this age!"

"So what do we do?"

"The others can't seem to hurt her. It's as if some unknown force is protecting her."

"Cassim always went on about his god."

"You think that might be it?"

"I don't know. It's the only thing I can think of."

"Well, she carries that foolish boy's child. That's all we know."

Cassim sat back against the wall, his mind racing, trying to process what he had just heard.

Carina was with child?

God was protecting her and the child from the Forty Thieves.

Too exhausted to try to think about it, Cassim fell into a deep sleep.
