I don't have access to any English Aladdin movies/episodes right now. Could you tell me whether the other characters call Carpet a he, she or it? |

I like to argue for female!Carpet for the sake of argument, but all the other characters call Carpet "he" and "him", Genie calls him "rug-man" sometimes, and in The Prophet Motive he was attracted to a feminine looking carpet, so, if magic carpets do have a gender, Carpet probably identifies as male. _________________ "If only I could believe you. Someone did a sketch of a human form of carpet, it's a boy.
Also Genie calls him Rugman.
Genie : Yo! Rugman! Haven't seen you in millenia, Give me some tassle. Yo! Yo!
It's a boy. |

Well, that was fanart, though, so that doesn't prove anything. _________________ "If only I could believe you. Perhaps I can! After all... you do bear the name of a flower." -- Arbutus |

I did too . And the series confirms that a few times.
Unless Carpet is going through some sort of gender change |

The first thing I thought of was what Calluna pointed out about him being attracted to a female carpet.
I also though about that fanart but, like Calluna said, that doesnt mean anything.
Mariposa was right about the Rugman thing too.
And doesn't Aladdin refer to Carpet as a him?

Just about everyone has referred to him as a 'he'. And Jasmine said he was always the perfect gentlemen (wtf? ) in "Love At First Sprite". |

Carpet's a guy, yep... although I find it interesting that Carpet's actually a girl in the show at DCA. (Kinda like how Rafiki is a girl in TLK's Broadway show) _________________ I don't need intelligent drugs, because I don't know what they are. Do they do anything to reference that Carpet's a girl or is it just a fact that the person in the carper is female? _________________

Carpets always been played by a female from what I've seen. I dont recall them saying anything to reference carpat as a girl but really the only people who really talk to carpet is aladdin and genie. Aladdin prettymuch just calls her carpet but genie it depends on who it is. He calls capet all sorts of nicknames _________________
