I got a new toy! La la la! I found it at our local Kmart. I was browsing in the doll section (waiting for my mom to find me, actually), and I came across this:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2697415&cat=118440&type=5&dept=4171&path=0%3A4171%3A4187%3A118440

Fantastic. It even has a little "Aladdin, first time EVER on DVD" sticker on the box, so at least it's not forgotten about. It comes with a bottle, a genie-lamped shaped rattle, a brush, a change of outfit, and a little blanket that is designed like Carpet. Sweet. Cost me $16.99.

Oh my gosh, that is SO adorable! That out tops the little princess Jasmine dolls. I need to go on an Aladdin rampage soon. K-mart and wally world.

While I was looking at the website, they have this http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?cat=4187&dept=4171&product_id=2697411&path=0%3A4171%3A4187%3A118440#long_descr too. Jasmine even talks. No wonder she is out of stock.

I wonder what she says? Very Happy

I saw an ad for the Aladdin klenex today. I hope they have more Aladdin back-to-school stuff. If they have backpacks, I'm buying one. Cool

I look for backpacks at every store I go to that might sell them. No dice. Not to mention looking for notebooks, pens, folders, etc. MAKE THEM, DISNEY!

Exactly. It's not going to kill them. I've seen adult fashionable purses with scenes from Cinderella and the Little Mermaid. Why not make a bookbag with some Aladdin characters on it? For a movie that did as well as we did, we sure do get the back burner treatment a lot.

Everytime I pas a little kid with a child size backpack I try to take a peek at the bank hoping it's Aladdin. Years ago, back in 1994, new subscribers to the Donald Duck comic magazine got a free Aladdin backpack. Of course my family was already subscribed since 1979 or so.

Anyway my latest Aladdin find is a Princess booklet "Royal and Loyal"

I saw that coloring book yesterday, but didn't pick it up due to not having too much money. I laughed at the whole idea of Jasmine taking Rajah to the marketplace to get flowers, because Rajah in the marketplace doesn't usually work out too well...

Yeah, I've seen that around too. I love how coloring books or books in general have their own plot or are really off from the original. I don't know if I want the Princess story book collection with the Jasmine stories in them. Does anyone have them? I know of one that has Jasmine's mother in it.

I've seen a scan from the one with Jasmine's mom; never read it, though.

I'll have to spring for that new book, since it's only five bucks. Very Happy

I read the page that mentions her mother. It's an adaptaion of the movie type story. Anyway, it just says that Jasmine pulls out a locket of her mother and that she died when he was little. She didn't know much of her mom and wish she had a chance to know her better.

I wanna say it said something about how people said she looks just like her mom, but I am not sure. Her mom looks like Jasmine with her hair up in a somewhat fancy updo. There is also something about a maid named Amina in the story.

Are they the original songs' vocals? With Clay singing PoYB?

Oh, and I finally found my Aladdin Kleenex, I forgot to say. Cool

On the non-vocals ones... is it the actual instrumental only, or is it like a lot of the other Disney Karaoke CDs where they add in another instrument in place of the vocals??

EDIT: I love the look on Aladdin's face on the cover. It scares me. Laughing http://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/05/00/86/11/0005008611847_500X500.jpg
